Neuer Strassmayr BF400 Bankettfertiger

The Strassmayr BF 400 is the most powerful road widener available on the market. It fully covers the needs of medium and large motorway roadside works such as road widening, hard shoulder work or cable and pipeline trench filling.
Machine can be either PUSHed or PULLed, and powered by own diesel engine or from the PTO of carrier. Model is available both in right and left hand versions.
All different types of soil, gravel, grit and asphalt can be used with these units. The universal quick coupling mount allows to attach the road wideners to a wheel loader, backhoe loader or a tractor.
A specially designed screed allows to lay several material layers up to 3 meters in width. Sweeping brush mounted under the operator seat ensures the cleanliness of the process.
The Strassmayr BF 400 is a larger brother of Strassmayr BF 290, and more efficient - by approximately 30-40% compared to the BF 290. The working width of the BF 400 is from 30 cm to 3 meters.
The higher overall weight, more powerful engine, wider delivery belt and solid wheels indicate that the machine is designed for large-scale jobs, especially on highways.
The main material bin is also 40 cm wider, what allows for better clearance between the BF 400 body and tipper, and continuous work even on tight road turns, without the need to temporary disconnect the tipper.
We also took care of the comfort of the operators' work by soundproofing of the machine's engine compartment.

Front towing system allows operation of road widener without a need of use of a dedicated wheel loader, or backhoe loader. The role of pushing wheel loader takes a towing truck, that anyway is present at the jobsite, delivering material to be laid.

Manual regulation of the hook’s height, allows rough (initial) hook’s height adjustment ensuring good connection to the truck and correct position of road widener.
Hydraulic cylinders, that replace two front wheels, allow smooth and stepless adjustment of the hook’s height, allowing trouble free coupling of the road widener to the truck, and decoupling, when change of the truck required.
